Shell Wizardry is a small one person shop. I am a professional sysadmin / devops / cloud / infrastructure engineer with over 20 years of experience. I usually refer to myself as "cloud janitor" these days. I curated the content on the mat. Naturally all of this information is in the man pages... if you know where to look. I tried to find a balance between documenting the basics for beginners, showing clever arguments to intermediate users, and specific reference material for advanced users. I worked with a local graphics designer to create the design and the mats are printed in China. The mat is 3mm neoprene and printed with heat sublimation.
